The wave soldering machine preheating system applies flux to the substrates of wave soldering and lead-free wave soldering, and then firstly evaporates the excess solvent in the flux to increase the viscosity. If the viscosity is too low, the flux will be expelled by the molten tin prematurely, causing poor surface wetting. Dry flux can also enhance its surface activity and speed up the soldering process. In the preheating stage, the substrate and components are heated to 100-105 ° C. When the substrate is brought into contact with molten tin, the thermal shock is reduced and the possibility of substrate warpage is reduced.

The role of the preheating system:
1. The solvent components in the flux will be heated and volatilized when passing through the preheater. In order to prevent the solvent component from bursting due to high-temperature gasification when passing through the liquid surface, and ultimately prevent the quality of tin particles from being hidden.
 
2. The temperature of the parts to be immersed in tin products is gradually increased when passing through the preheater, which can avoid the occurrence of damage to the parts due to the physical effect of sudden heat when the wave peak is exceeded.
 
3. The preheated parts or terminals will not significantly reduce the welding temperature of the solder joints due to the low temperature of the parts when passing through the crest, thus ensuring that the welding meets the temperature requirements within the specified time.
 
4.Second, wave soldering preheating method: There are three common preheating methods in wave soldering machine: ① air convection heating; ② infrared heater heating; ③ hot air and radiation combined heating method.
3. Wave soldering preheating temperature: the general preheating temperature is 130 ~ 150 ℃, and the preheating time is 1 ~ 3min. The preheating temperature is well controlled, which can prevent virtual soldering, sharpening and bridging, reduce the thermal impact of solder wave crest on the substrate, and effectively solve the problems of PCB board warping, delamination and deformation during the soldering process.
