Common Preheating Methods in Wave Soldering Equipment

1. Air convection heating

3. Temperature compensation: Entering the temperature compensation stage, the compensated PCB board will reduce thermal shock during wave soldering.
4. The first wave
The first wave crest is caused by the "turbulent flow" of the narrow nozzle. The flow rate is fast, which has better permeability to the welding parts with shadow. At the same time, the upward jet force of the turbulent wave allows the flux gas to be smoothly eliminated, which greatly reduces the defects of missing soldering and insufficient vertical filling.
5. The second wave
The second wave crest is a "smooth" solder with a slower flow rate, which can effectively remove excess solder on the terminals, make all solder surfaces well wetted, and can fully correct the sharpening and bridging caused by the first wave.
6. Cooling stage: The refrigeration system makes the temperature of the PCB drop sharply, which can significantly improve the cavitation and pad peeling problems generated during the production of lead-free solder eutectic.
7. Nitrogen protection: During the entire welding process, adding nitrogen protection during the preheating stage and the welding area can effectively prevent the oxidation of bare, copper and eutectic solder, greatly improving wettability and fluidity, and ensuring the reliability of solder joints.
