How to Operate The Wave Solder Machine Correctly

Wave Soldering Equipment
1. Wave soldering machine welding preparation work;
a) Turn on the power supply and turn on the heater of the tin furnace (when normal, this item can be controlled by the time switch);
b) Check whether the time switch of the wave soldering machine is normal;
c) Check whether the exhaust equipment of the wave soldering machine is in good condition;
d) Check whether the temperature indicator of the tin furnace is normal: use a glass thermometer or a contact thermometer to measure the temperature at 10~15mm below the surface of the tin furnace. The difference between the two should be within ±5℃.
e) Check whether the preheater is normal and whether the set temperature meets the process requirements: turn on the preheater switch to check whether it is heating up and whether the temperature is normal.
f) Check the working condition of the cutting foot machine: Adjust the height of the blade according to the thickness of the PcB, and the length of the component foot is required to be 1•4~2•0mm, then tighten the blade holder, turn on the machine to visually observe the rotation of the blade, and then check the safety device There is a malfunction.
g) Check whether the supply of compressed air to the flux container is normal: pour in the flux, adjust the air inlet valve, turn on the machine and check if the flux is foamed or sprayed.
h) Check whether the specific gravity of the adjusted flux meets the requirements: check the level of the flux tank and measure the specific gravity. When the specific gravity is high, add the thinner, and when the specific gravity is low, add the flux for adjustment (foaming).
i) When the solder temperature reaches the specified value, check the height of the tin surface. If it is less than 15mm in the tin furnace, add the solder in time. Pay attention to adding it in batches, and each batch should not exceed 5k9.
j) Remove the tin dross on the tin surface and add anti-oxidant after cleaning.
k) Adjust the angle of the transportation track: According to the width of the PCB to be welded, adjust the width of the track so that the clamping force on the PCB is moderate;
2. Wave soldering machine start-up production operation process
a) Turn on the flux switch, and adjust the thickness of the board at 1/2 of the foam during foaming; when spraying, the board surface is required to be uniform and the spray amount is appropriate. Generally, the component surface is not sprayed.
b) Adjust the air volume of the air knife so that the excess flux on the board drips back to the foaming tank to avoid dripping onto the preheater and causing fire;
c) Turn on the transportation switch and adjust the transportation speed to the required value;
d) Turn on the cooling fan.
 
3. Operation process of wave soldering machine after welding
a) Turn off the switches of preheater, tin furnace wave, flux, transportation, cooling fan, and foot cutter;
b) The flux in the foaming tank needs to be replaced after two weeks of use, and it is measured regularly during use;
c) After shutting down, clean the wave machine and chain claws, and soak the spray nozzle with dilution and clean it.
